About usAbout us

E-Lectra s.r.l. is a spin-off from the Università di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale founded in 2019 by a group of university professors and the company FAIST Electronics to develop advanced technological solutions in the fields of transport electrification, energy storage, power electronics and industrial automation. The core group of engineers that make up our technical department comes from the research group of the Industrial Automation Laboratory at the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale, led by Giuseppe Tomasso, Full Professor of Machines, Converters and Electric Drives at the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale, with consolidated experience in the design and realisation of powertrains and technologies for hybrid and electric vehicles. E-Lectra’s founding team is made up of PhDs in power electronics and electric drives, researchers, lecturers and graduates.

Who we areOur Mission

A group that to date has more than 200 publications in international journals and conference proceedings, four patents and dozens of technology transfer projects.

We specialise in the development of innovative solutions for static electrical energy converters, battery management systems (BMS) for lithium-ion storage systems and, in general, electrical and electronic systems and devices for automotive and industrial applications.

E-Lectra has more than 1,200 square metres of industrial R&D laboratories and 400 square metres of R&D offices.

We always offer innovative products and services thanks to our internal organisation that always sees a strong synergy with the world of university and industrial research. Thanks to a strategic agreement with the University of Cassino, for all basic research activities, we take advantage of part of the part of the equipment and laboratories of the University of Cassino and Lazio such as the anechoic chamber for EMC compliance testing, the laboratory of industrial electronics and the laboratory of industrial automation and electric vehicles. Thanks to our innovative internal structure and skills team, we have established strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers of electrical and electronic devices such as ABB, Infineon, Analog Devices, NXP, STMicroelectronics. In the field of engineering services engineering services, we have consolidated strategic agreements with private companies and research institutions.
